What is your "why"? What drives you to do this important work each day?

My “why” is our African Nova Scotian students. I  am driven to ensure equitable and cultural lens mandates are implemented to support our students.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I most enjoy providing support to ensure our African Nova Scotian learners see themselves and can achieve outcomes.

What would you most like families to know about the role of Student Support Workers in HRCE schools?

I would like families to know that we are another set of ears, eyes and perspectives from lived experiences as well advocates to ensure students are able to reach their full potential. We also work with staff and families to support students
